Safarov Ordukhan Aydin oglu

Safarov Ordukhan Aydin oglu (1961-1989) was born in 1961 in Karkijahan. He was a driver. Diligently endeavored for the social development and defense of the village. Bringing building materials from Aghdam he had great services in the construction of new objects, especially in the construction of the school. He was a brave, valorous young fellow. Since the beginning of the Garabagh war, he was in the battlefield.
On July 9, 1989, on his way from Aghdam to Shusha he saw Armenians in Askaran who had stopped the Azerbaijanis’ passenger bus and were throwing stones on the people. Driving the loaded “KAMAZ” truck upon the Armenians, he had saved the people. On the same day, in the territory of Hasanabad, the stones thrown by the Armenians at his truck heavily wounded him. However, in spite of severe wounds, he managed to escape. His wound was bandaged in Khojaly and he was placed in Aghdam hospital. Escaped from the hospital, he came to Shusha in order to reach the village in helicopter. They insisted him to stay in Shusha hospital, but he stood his ground – to go to the village.
Unfortunately, this visit was for Ordukhan – the brave son of Karkijahan the last. On July 12, 1989, Armenians savagely killed him who was coming on foot from Shusha to Karkijahan, on the road, when he was drinking water from the spring.
The grave of Ordukhan – the first martyr of Karkijahan is left in martyr Karkijahan cemetery.
Two children left.
